I've used Thrifty twice in the past year for a storage move and a new apartment move (3rd floor, no elevator!). They are amazing whether you have a 2-man or 3-man crew. Most recent thanks to Jim, Oscar and Kyle. I sincerely appreciated their attentiveness to my belongings and time constraints. Reasonable and straightforward pricing, good communication with the owner and the guys, and very accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend Thrifty Moving!

Important Questions To Ask When Moving
How do I choose the best moving company?
Do your research before selecting a mover because not all moving companies are the same. Check references, reviews and how long the company has been in business. In particular make sure the company is licensed and insured by checking HERE the Department Of Consumer Affairs.
Should I get a written estimate for my move?
Unless you are moving a very small amount a short distance its always a good idea to get a visual inspection and written estimate to know the final cost of your move. Unfortunately some movers like to quote a low price over the phone just to get your furniture on the truck then everything changes after they have your belongings. Get the cost in writing first!
What does the moving company include for free?
This is a very good question because many movers charge extra fees or add on charges. A good moving company will offer free shrink wrapping and use of a certain amount of wardrobe boxes and not charge credit card fees.. In addition tape that is not used for packing but used for securing furniture padding should be at no charge up to a certain limit.

Whenever possible moving some of your small and light weight items like lamps, pictures and plants on your own can save time and money on a local move. Some customers have us just move the larger items and boxes and it's a great way to save crew time and moving cost. However we are happy to do as much as you need done on moving day.
We have excellent packers however doing your own packing on a local Benicia Ca move is a great way to significantly save moving cost. We always recommend when you do your own packing to start early and take your time.

Benicia was the site of California’s third seat of government and served as the state capitol for thirteen months during 1853 and 1854. During the Gold Rush years, Benicia became a way station for miners en route from San Francisco to the gold fields. Its classically designed City Hall was built in just three months from bricks and architectural materials salvaged from abandoned ships in San Francisco Bay. It became California's Capitol and the building, located at 115 West G Street, remains the only pre-Sacramento capitol that survives in California.
